Badrinath Ki Dulhania 7 Days Total Collection in India
Already having crossed Rs 68 crore in the first six days of its release, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania has already begun making profits in less than a week. The film’s budget was reportedly around Rs 50 crore, including cost of production as well as advertisements and promotions. On its sixth day, Alia and Varun’s film reportedly raked in Rs 6.15 crore, taking the collections to over Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania has already become the highest first Monday grosser of 2017, overtaking Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and proving trade analysts wrong by showing that the film could be successful in spite of an exam-time release. Though the runtime of the film is little longer been more than 2 hours but still the audience does not much feels it, because there are no boring scenes or facts in the movie. It is the first Thursday for the film and being the seventh day of release the film has faced fallback in it income but still it has earned 5.06 Crores.
For Alia Bhatt, this is turning out to be a good success and the next target is her own Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania which had collected Rs. 78 crore in its lifetime run. Meanwhile, Udta Punjab lifetime [Rs. 60 crore] is already history and that further shows how big can a true commercial film get if set in a ‘desi’ belt with true Indian emotions. The Karan Johar production would end its first week quite close to the Rs. 73 crore mark and that is an achievement by all means as it is beyond expectations even for the biggest advocators of the film.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the return of the Alia-Varun jodi to the big screen after three years. The two had made their debut together in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and also appeared together in Badrinath’s prequel, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The story of barely-literate Badrinath Bansal (Varun) and fiercely independent Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia) has already received a thumbs up from the audience. It remains to be seen how soon it crosses the Rs 100 crore mark, domestically.
