23 Days Collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania
After an excellent opening week, Varun Dhawan’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania faced gradual falls in its occupancy but successfully managed to keep moving its business graph. Within 3 weeks, it became the third highest grossing movie of the year so far after Raees & Jolly LLB 2. Due to good initial buzz, director Shashank Khaitan’s this romantic comedy started the journey on an impressive note.
In the first week, it did the total business of 73.66 crores across the country and registered second highest opening week collection record of the year so far after Airlift. This includes 43.05 crores of weekend and 30.61 crores of weekdays. In the second week too, it maintained almost good and minted the amount of 27.08 crores with 60% of drop than the first week. This includes 17.56 crores of weekend and 9.52 crores of weekdays.
After 2 weeks, total collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania was recorded as 100.74 crores on domestic box office. Now in the third week, it has lost almost all its hold over audience due to new release Phillauri. In its third weekend, it raked the business of only 6.95 crores, that includes 1.35 crore of Friday, 2.35 crore of Saturday and 3.25 crore of Sunday. In weekdays, as expected its performance graph is touching too.
Then in the third week, it faced heavy competition due to Phillauri, which had good pre-release buzz and it managed to raise its business total by decent amount and minted 11.39 crores, that includes 6.95 crores of weekend and 4.44 crore of weekdays. After 3 weeks, total collection of Badrinath Ki Duhania was recorded as 112.13 crores on domestic box office.
Now it has entered in the fourth weekend and heading slowly on box office. On Friday, it raked the business of 0.62 crore* as its 22nd day collection. On Saturday, being weekend it received slight rise and added the amount of 0.73 crore* to its account. With this its 23 days total collection has become 113.48 crores* nationwide.
