Badrinath Ki Dulhania 2nd Weekend Collection
Badrinath Ki Dulhania marks the second installment of a franchise that began with the romantic comedy Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), which was also directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Karan Johar for Dharma Productions and starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The music for the film has been composed by Amaal Mallik, Tanishk Bagchi and Akhil Sachdeva while the lyrics have been written by Kumaar, Shabbir Ahmed, Akhil Sachdeva and Badshah.
Everyone including critics found Badrinath Ki Dulhania very entertaining and meaningful. With it’s good content and marvelous performances by the lead stars, the film has impressed all the viewers and performed excellently on box office so far. In the opening weekend, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial recorded very good occupancy throughout and did the business of 43.05 crores from more than 3000 screens.
In its very first week, BKD reported excellent response of audience across the country and raked the business of total 73.66 crores, that includes 43.05 crores of weekend and 30.61 crores of weekdays. Very impressively this fourth big hit film of the year, is heading towards setting new records at box office. Must say, it is getting complete benefit of its strong content and of course the perfect releasing time.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is now running its second week and has just completed its second weekend with commendable performance despite of three new releases Trapped, Aa Gaya Hero and Machine. On Friday, the film was recorded the decent occupancy and did the business of 4.21 crores. On next day being Saturday, it witnessed considerable jump and minted the amount of 5.90 crores from Indian screens.
On its 10th day of release, being Sunday Badrinath Ki Dulhania has reported terrific response and remained the first choice of viewers. Craze of audience clearly shows, that this inspiring film still has good hold over them. On the last day of weekend, it grossed the amount of 7.26 crores* and made its total to 91.03 crores* from India.
