Badlapur 15th Day Box Office Collection
Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Badlapur’ box office collections are rising steadily as the movie continues its good run in the domestic market, adding more than Rs.9 crore in the second week. The ‘Badlapur’ is now eyeing the Rs.50 crore mark as all new releases, except ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, failed to make any impact with the audience. The transformation of Varun Dhawan from a romantic hero to a man with a rugged look and revenge in his eyes, has been enough to create the right buzz for the film as ‘Badlapur’ box office collections move to Rs.46+ crore. The Varun Dhawan-Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer has now overtaken Ranbir Kapoor ‘Roy’ (Rs.44.52 crore) to become the second biggest grosser of the year behind Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’ (Rs.95.56 crore). ‘Badlapur’ maintained it domination at the box office, by clocking Rs.36.31 core in the first week, which is only topped by Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’ (Rs.63.82 crore) and ‘Roy’ (Rs.41.77 crore).

Varun Dhawan’s ‘Badlapur’ that features the actor in a never seen before avatar has been doing brisk business at the box office. The film on its 15th Day, minted a total of Rs.50 lakhs at the domestic box office. The film, well received by the audience and critics alike, has an ‘A’ rated tag from the censor board that has certainly affected its overall collections. However, despite this, the business has been good. The makers of ‘Badlapur’ have made an overall profit of approx. Rs.10 crores. After deducting the production cost of Rs.25 crore and producers shares, the film has earned profit of around Rs.9.81 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama. While this sum of Rs.10 crores is by no way a small amount considering the ‘Adult’ rating it got, the film continues to run in theatres with estimated profits of Rs.13-14 crores approximately. “Badlapur” is the second most profitable movie of the year, after Akshay Kumar’s “Baby”.
