Baby Sixth Day Box Office Collection
Akshay Kumar starrer “Baby” had a rough start in the weekend, where the reports showed that the film was doing below expectations in box office. In four days the film has raked in approximately Rs. 50.97 (509 million) crores at domestic box office. On its first day “Baby” had a collection of Rs. 9.3 crore (93 million). Although it wasn’t bad, it was considered poor by analysts. The rough start of the collection was assumed to be overcome during the weekend. The film collected Rs 11.17 crore (111 million) and Rs 15.60 crore (156 million) on Saturday and Sunday respectively. By Monday, which was a extended holiday due to the occasion of Republic day, the film crossed the milestone of Rs 50 crores (500 million) by making an additional Rs.14.90 crore (149 million). In total, “Baby” has collected Rs. 50.97 (509 million) by now. Since Republic Day was upon us, and “Baby” being a film that gave a message about tackling terrorism in our country, people naturally preferred to watch it over Sonam Kapoor’s “Dolly Ki Doli”. Since Tuesday was a working day, “Baby” witnessed a massive drop in its collection and collected Rs.5.10 crore nett at the domestic box office on its fifth day. “Baby” minted approximately Rs.56.07 crore nett at the Indian box office in five days.

‘Baby’ released across 2,500 screens while ‘Dolly ki Doli’ was released in around 1,200 screens in the country. Also starring Taapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati, Madhurima Tuli and Danny Denzongpa, ‘Baby’ has bagged mostly positive reviews from critics also. Now, on its first Wednesday, the film has held up well as it made a collection of Rs.7 crores approx. It now stands with a total collection of Rs.62.07 crores at the domestic box office. The movie, which has been made with a whopping budget of Rs.58.97 crore, has already recovered its production cost. With one day remaining for the first week to end, the movie is expected to cross the Rs.70 crore mark at the domestic box office in seven days.
