The long wait has ended for those who wanted to see the soaring chemistry of Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in Baar Baar Dekho on screen all along. The songs of the movie have already become popular among people. There was also a huge hype surrounding the movie considering the recent break-up of Katrina Kaif with Ranbir Kapoor. But will Baar Baar Dekho live upto box office expectations? The first day saw a decent opening in terms of box office collections. According to a report, the film saw around 40% occupancy in the multiplexes in North India, whereas in other parts of the country the film registered around 25% occupancy.
Based on the numbers, films is expected to earn between Rs 6.81 crore on opening day. Directed by Nitya Mehra and produced by Karan Johar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Baar Baar Dekho explores a love story through time travel. Both Katrina and Sidharth are sharing the screen for the first time. The film is crucial to Katrina’s career as the actress has seen two flops — Phantom and Fitoor — in the last two years. The movie has some breathtaking locales. The high point of the movie is its fresh approach to showing the difficulties of a relationship.
Both Katrina and Sidharth have immense expectations from the film. Other highlights of the movie are its songs including hit number Kala Chasma. We have previously seen Katrina in many roles, but this is probably for the first time that actress is doing a meaty role. According to some media reports, Katrina has also undergone acting workshop for Baar Baar Dekho. However, it is the audience which will decide the fate of movie eventually. Another big release this Friday was Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Freaky Ali. The film saw a low opening of around 15% across the country, according to Koimoi.
Director Nitya Mehra’s Bollywood movie “Baar Baar Dekho” (BBM), featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, has received positive reviews from the audience. “Baar Baar Dekho” is a romantic drama and Sri Rao has written the story for the film, besides penning the screenplay in collaboration with Nitya Mehra and Anuvab Pal.
