Director Milan Luthria’s recent offering Baadshaho has been released this Friday on around 3242 screens (domestic 2800 + overseas 442) and as expected received overwhelmed response from fans as well as audience. Being much awaited, the movie started it’s journey at box office on an impressive note and remained strong throughout the opening weekend.
Produced by T-Series Films and Vertex Motion Pictures, Baadshaho starring superstar Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles. Audience found the film entertaining and showed thumbs up. From critics also, the movie has received mixed reviews and gained strong word of mouth.
On the opening day, with almost 35% of occupancy across the country, Baadshaho did the massive business of 12.60 crores nett. With this, it has dominated the opening record of Ajay’s previous offering Shivaay (10.24 crores). On the next day i.e. Saturday due to Eid holiday and positive public reactions, Baadshaho took good jump of around 30% than Friday in it’s business graph and bagged the amount of 15.60 crores.
On Sunday, it remained almost flat and minted the amount of 15.10 crores and made it’s opening weekend total collection as 43.30 crores (60.14 crores gross) across the country. Now Milan Luthria’s directorial has entered in weekdays and asusual started getting lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier.
On Monday, the movie faced around 43.35% of drop than Friday and added the amount of 6.82 crores to it’s account on domestic box office. With this, 4 days total collection of Baadshaho has become 50.12 crores. Baadshaho, being the celebratory fodder for single screen masses has been doing pretty well at the box office.
In fact, Baadshaho has entered the list of ‘Top 10 Highest Opening Weekend Grossers of 2017’. The film has evicted Half Girlfriend (32.04 crores) and surpassed Badrinath Ki Dulhania (43.05 crores) and Jagga Jasoos (33.17 crores) to settle on 8th rank just below Jab Harry Met Sejal (45.75 crores).
