Baadshaho 2nd Day Collection, Ajay Devgn's Film Gets Good on Saturday at Box Office

Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra starrer Baadshaho has been released this Friday with good excitement and expectations of fans. Unfortunately it got failed to satisfy all the critics but still it is running successfully at box office. Most of the audience liked the movie and showed thumbs up for it.

On the opening day, Milan Luthria’s directorial recorded decent start with only 35% of occupancy, but with good acceleration in footfalls from evening shows, it registered the seventh highest opening of the year so far in Hindi cinema with 12.60 crores from 2800 screens.  As a matter of fact the film has opened even better than Shivaay [10.24 crore] which released on Diwali last year.

That film had clashed with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and still managed to hold on to its own. Now that Baadshaho has only Shubh Mangal Saavdhan for competition and has arrived on a regular Friday, the collections have pretty much evened out. On the next day i.e. Saturday being weekend, the movie showed limited jump of 29.70% and minted the amount of 15.60 crores. With this, total 2 days domestic collection of Baadshaho has become 27.63 crores.

As per current trend, it will go past 40 crores by Sunday. Masses are liking the film and that should ensure that the weekend shows good growth from here on. While the film appears safe from here, what needs to be seen is the kind of success tag that it manages to get.

Baadshaho is an expensive affair and hence needs good collections on a consistent note to emerge as a clean Hit. Directed by Milan Luthria, Baadshaho is set against the backdrop of Emergency (1975-1977). It narrates a fictional story of six people who try to bring a change in their destiny by pulling of a heist.
