Thugs of Hindostan has its final ‘Thug’ on Board

A few days ago we reported that Fatima  has joined the stellar cast of Vijay Krishna Acharya’s period drama Thugs of Hindostan. And now the latest ‘thug’ to be brought onboard is Katrina Kaif. The Baar Baar Dekho actress will be joining Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan in the larger than life film. The actress was spotted at YRF office discussing the film with Vijay a few days ago and it seems the meeting was fruitful.

Katrina has previously collaborated with Aamir Khan, producer Aditya Chopra and director Acharya in 2013’s blockbuster Dhoom 3. She is one of the few actresses who has had the privilege of working with all the three Khans of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir. 2017 has been a good year for Katrina. The actress, who is currently busy shooting Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai opposite Salman, has also been signed on as the leading lady for Aanand L Rai’s next opposite Shah Rukh.

We had earlier reported to you that Salman recommended Katrina’s name for the film. A source told us, “Salman wants Katrina to play the heroine opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan and hence, he gave her name as a suggestion to the production house. He has already put in a word as he feels that Thugs will be the perfect film for Katrina to be in after Tiger Zinda Hai. Both the films will obviously give a boost to her career and that’s what the actor wants.

However, everything now lies in the hands of Aditya Chopra and Aamir Khan, who will decide on which actress will be a part of the movie.” Katrina Kaif’s addition to this film’s star cast only adds to the massive anticipation that the film has already built. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs of Hindostan will go on floors on 1st June and will release in 2018 during Dilwali.
