Akshay Kumar announces his new film Padman; will release this year!
As we all know Akshay Kumar stars in more than two films in a year. In 2016, the superstar was seen in films like Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom. Today, on the first day of 2017, Akshay decided to share a glimpse of his lineup of movies to be released this year. He went on to tweet about it saying, “Busy summing up the year gone by? It’s time to not look back, but look ahead. Here’s what my 2017 looks like.Ur thoughts, love & luck needed”.
Starting with Jolly LLB 2 which will be released on February 10, 2017, the actor shared a quirky poster of the film and also of his social satirical film with Bhumi Pednekar titled Toilet Ek Prem Katha hitting the screens on June 2, 2017. Akshay is all set to show his evil side in Rajnikanth’s 2.0, which is gearing up to entertain the audience during Diwali weekend this year. The fourth project that Akshay has in his kitty for 2017 is “Pad Man”. It is said to be a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham, and will chronicle his journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.
And now, the Khiladi Kumar announced a new film titled Pad Man by sharing a quirky poster about the same. Looking at the picture, it states that the movie is based on an extraordinary true story. And they have also shown an image of a sanitary pad, which might be the theme of the film.
This is something unusual for a mainstream Bollywood film, we must say. What do you guys have to say about Pad Man? Other than these four films, Akki will be seen in a cameo in Taapsee Pannu starrer Naam Shabana and Neeraj Pandey’s Crack. It is surely going to be an amazing year for Akshay!
