Dangal 4 Days Worldwide Box Office Collection
The Aamir Khan starrer, Dangal directed by Nitesh Tiwari released last week on Friday. The film that is based on the life of wrestler Manahvir Singh Phogat and also marks the Bollywood debut of Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh has opened well at the box office. In fact Dangal that released across 4300 screens in India has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark in just three days collecting Rs. 106.95 cr. In this box office report we take a look at the worldwide collections of Dangal while comparing the same to previous releases.
After much hoopla and extensive promotions, Dangal, touted to be one of the biggest releases of 2016, hit the screens released week. The film starring Aamir Khan in the lead along with debutants Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh has opened to an extremely positive response not just in India but also the overseas. Dangal has released in over 5000 screens worldwide which includes 4300 screens in India and 1000 screens abroad and has grossed approx. 210 crores worldwide. The collections also include the paid previews that were held in different countries overseas as well as collections from the dubbed versions of the film in the domestic markets.
Salman Khan‘s Sultan had also touched the Rs 200 crore mark in the worldwide market in just three days, so looks like Dangal and Sultan are neck-and-neck currently. But with a good word of mouth publicity flowing for the movie, we are sure Dangal‘s run at the worldwide market will continue fantastically throughout this week. This fight is going to be really interesting to watch! According to trade predictions, Aamir Khan’s film will topple Salman Khan’s movie. Trade expert Komal Nahta had told us earlier that Dangal will start the Rs 400 crore club soon, which is clearly more than what Sultan managed..
At the cinemas, people have loved the film and have been raving about it on social media. The performances of Aamir and the girls have impressed one and all. Critics have even tagged it the best film of the year courtesy the story line and the touching message that it gives out. With such a positive word of mouth publicity, we expect Dangal to grow from strength to strength and become the BIGGEST film ever.
