There are around half a dozen Hindi films that are releasing this Friday. However, the ones that would get maximum screens are A Gentleman, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and Qaidi Band. Although the opposite one, does not have much hype but still capable to divert some audience toward itself. Let’s talk about how these films are placed at the box office.
Sidharth Malhotra has high fan following among audience across north India and overseas. This is the reason, his films do well at worldwide box office and A Gentleman too expected to perform in same way. Opposite to him, the film stars the very charming acqueline Fernandez. Raj & D.K’s directorial A Gentleman has registered decent advance booking in it’s dominating regions New Delhi and Mumbai.
As per reports, it is expected to receive over 15-20% of occupancy across the country. With such immense excitement of fans and predicted occupancy, it won’t be surprising if A Gentleman gets the hurricane opening of 5-7 crores (approx 2000 screens) nationwide. Also it is capable to take fair growth over the weekend if audience reacts in favor.
On the other hand, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bengali actress Bidita Bag starrer Babumoshai Bandookbaaz didn’t left much impact over audience but still due to star power and universal genre, it can attract considerable footfalls in theaters.
Directed by Kushan Nandy, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is releasing on approx 1000 screens in India and expected to collect 2-2.50 crores with 12-15% of occupancy. If audience reacts in favor, then the movie can take jump over the weekend.
As for Qaidi Band, it is coming across as a non-starter and surprising there is no buzz around it despite the fact that this Yash Raj film marks the debut of Aadar Jain and Anya Singh. The last release from the house of Chopras was Bank Chor and that film had taken a start of 1.40 crore. Now Qaidi Band would be lucky if it manages even half of that on an opening day.
