4th Friday Box Office Collection of Shivaay
Ajay’s action thriller Shivaay is gradually inching close to Rs 100 crore at the domestic market. The film’s 21 days total nett collection stands at Rs 98.7 crore (approx). Exact figures for Shivaay are not yet out. Three major Bollywood movies, apart from some other low budget films, have released after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay had hit the screens. But that could not hamper the business of the two big budget movies. After Rock On 2, the latest Hindi films to have released are Force 2 and Tum Bin 2.
While Rock On 2 failed to put much impact at the box office, Force 2 and Tum Bin 2 also reportedly opened on a poor note. In its first week, Ajay Devgn starrer & directorial venture had recorded good occupancy through out and registered the business of 70.41 crores with 28.56 crores in weekend and 41.85 crores of weekdays. In the second week too, the movie remained almost strong and did the decent business of 22.99 crores including 17.09 crores of weekend and 5.90 crores of weekdays.
Then in the third weekend Shivaay faced abrupt drop due to currency ban and managed to collect the amount of 3.15 crores with 0.65 crore of Friday, 1.10 crore of Saturday and 1.40 crore of Sunday. In weekdays it witnessed more lesser audience in theaters and added the amount of 0.45 on Monday (Gurpurab), 0.41 crore on Tuesday and 0.40 crore on Wednesday.
On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, the movie reported more drop and minted the amount of 0.34 crore to make its total collection as 98.97 crores on domestic box office. On its fourth Friday, Shivaay has recorded the overall occupancy of 20% across the country and raked the business of 0.25 crores* as its 22nd day collection. Till the end of the day, total collection of Shivaay is calculated as 99.22 crores.
