Third Day Box Office Collection of Force 2
Force 2 continued its winning streak at the box office on its second day with higher numbers than the other release, Tum Bin 2. With an opening day collection of Rs 6.05 crore, the John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer made around Rs 6.50 crore on its second day, according to early estimates. The action-thriller seems to have defeated demonetisation, which severely impacted the business of last week’s release, Rock On 2. Made at a budget of Rs 45 crore, the film is expected to break even in a week, if it continues raking in similar amounts at the box office.
Abhinay Deo’s directorial Force 2 is a power-packed action thriller, which has impressed everyone. From critics it has received mixed reviews but the opening day performance showed the support of fans as well as audience. On Friday, the movie witnessed overall 20-25% of occupancy on 1800 screens in Indian market and did the decent business of 6.05 crores, which is good enough in such circumstances.
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday being public holiday, the day has resulted out in decent but slightly lower than Saturday. On its third day John starrer has witnessed almost flat occupancy. Force 2 has minted the amount of 7.50 crores on Sunday and made its weekend total as 20.05 crores on Indian screens.
The film’s lead cast, John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha are both in need of a hit, after their last Bollywood outings, Rocky Handsome and Akira, respectively, didn’t do so well at the box office. Force 2’s patriotic angle seems to have connected with the audience this time. Directed by Abhinay Deo, the film stars John Abraham as ACP Yashvardhan and Sonakshi Sinha as a RAW agent, with Tahir Raj Bhasin as the antagonist.
