Monday Collection of Dear Zindagi
Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Dear Zindagi passed the 1st weekend at the box office with a brilliant collection. The film witnessed massive growth in its earning over Saturday and Sunday. Having released in 1200 screens, Dear Zindagi had collected Rs 8.75 crore nett at the Indian box office on its opening day. Dear Zindagi witnessed an excellent jump in its collection on Saturday and made a business of Rs 11.25 crore on Saturday, taking its 2-day collection to Rs 20 crore in the domestic market.
With positive reviews and strong word of mouth, the movie has completed its 3-day run at the box office with flying colours. Early estimates suggest that Dear Zindagi collected Rs 12.50 crore on Sunday at the Indian box office, taking its 1st weekend total collection to over Rs 32.50 crore. Exact figures are yet to be out. Directed by Gauri Shinde, Dear Zindagi was the only big release last Friday and in spite of the issues of demonetisation, the film has dominated the box office over the weekend.
Now it has entered in weekdays and as expected getting lesser response than weekend. On Monday, it started the day with an average occupancy and witnesses decent response now.Dear Zindagi seems to collect near about 7.88 crores* on its 4th day with almost 10% of drop than Friday. At the end, the total domestic collection of the movie will become 40.38 crores.*
As a matter of fact this Gauri Shinde film hasn’t even seen all around glowing reviews coming its way. Yes, the reviews have been largely positive but still not the kind where everything around it seems to be positive. Even the word of mouth isn’t spectacular or extraordinary, though the fact that audience isn’t panning it either which has resulted in the footfalls which have been consistent ever since the film hit the screens.
