The first-week box office collection of “Dishoom” stands at Rs. 53.34 crore. “Dishoom” also shattered the lifetime box office collection records of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor’s “Ki and Ka” with its first-week income. “Ki and Ka” had made Rs. 52.31 crore. “#Dishoom crosses ₹ 50 cr mark in Week 1… India biz… Day-wise data in next tweet…# Dishoom Fri 11.05 cr, Sat 12.02 cr, Sun 14.25 cr, Mon 4.85 cr, Tue 4.30 cr, Wed 3.67 cr, Thu 3.20 cr. Total: ₹ 53.34 cr [revised],” trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted. Now the movie has entered in the second week and running in its second weekend.

On Friday, it has started the day on a decent note and witnessed lesser response than yesterday as Hollywood biggie The BFG, Ghostbusters, Star Trek has diverted all the audience towards itself. Dishoom has raked the business of 3.05 cr* as its 8th day collection and made its domestic total as 56.39 cr*. The good run at the ticker counters made the film a success at the box office. The producer of the film, Sajid Nadiadwala, along with Nandu Ahuja from Eros International, director Rohit and lead members of the cast, including John, Varun and Jacqueline, celebrated the success of “Dishoom” with media on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Rohit’s directorial venture opened in theatres on July 29 with mixed reviews from critics, but the audience loved the film. Starring John, Varun and Jacqueline, the movie also features Akshaye Khanna in an important role while Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Nargis Fakhri and Saqib Saleem have done cameos.
