Box Office Report: Seventh Day Collection of Dishoom
Dishoom starring Varun Dhawan and John Abraham is in the middle of a box office bonanza. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Dishoom has already collected Rs 50 crore at the box office in India and is looking at another empty box office weekend ahead. With its competition being Rajeev Khandelwal’s Fever and Manoj Bajpayee’s Budhia Singh: Born to Run releasing this Friday (August 5), Dishoom is likely to increase its box office collections. The Varun Dhawan movie has had a good run so far: After posting Rs 37.32 crore profit over the weekend, it is going strong during the weekdays as well.
In fact, Dishoom has earned over Rs 80 crore worldwide. With a strong showing, Dishoom has already recovered its cost. Dishoom earned Rs 11.05 crore on Friday, Rs 12.02 crore on Saturday, Rs 14.25 crore on Sunday, Rs 4.85 crore on Monday and Rs 4.30 crore on Tuesday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the latest figures of the film: #Dishoom Fri 11.05 cr, Sat 12.02 cr, Sun 14.25 cr, Mon 4.85 cr, Tue 4.30 cr. Total: ₹ 46.47 cr. India biz.With more drops, it minted the amount of 4.30 crores on Tuesday and 3.67 crores on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, the film reported slight more drop and estimated to add the amount of 3.20 crores to its account.
With this, one week total collection of Dishoom will become 53.34 crores on domestic box office. Dishoom got mixed reviews but that didn’t stop audiences from flocking to the theatres. The film released on 3,000 screens in India. Earlier during the weekend, Dishoom made Rs 11.05 cr on Friday, Rs 12.02 crore on Saturday and Rs 14.25 crore on Sunday. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri and has been shot largely in Abu Dhabi. Dishoom’s BO has gone beyond the lifetime total of Rohit’s debut directorial, Desi Boyz (Rs 46 crore) in five days. Desi Boyz starred Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.
The film is going to do good business this weekend as well with hardly any competition. It will be only on August 12 that Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. To celebrate Dishoom’s success, the team had a party in Mumbai on Wednesday. Varun Dhawan and John Abraham were seen with a special guest. John said at the event that he prefers to bromance the actors like Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar than romancing his leading ladies.
