Dishoom Fourth Day Box Office Collection
With no competition from any new releases, and box office behemoths like Sultan and Kabali having already peaked, and now in the tapering-off stage, the Varun Dhawan and John Abraham starrer Dishoom had a clear field at the theatres. The film, which released on Friday, 29 July, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Akshaye Khanna and has a cameo by Akshay Kumar. Trade reports state that Dishoom had a good start on Friday, with an opening day collection of Rs 11.05 crore, from India screens alone. It earned an additional Rs 3 crore from the UAE territory. The numbers state that Dishoom has had the sixth highest box office opening among films in 2016. Sultan, Airlift, Baaghi are some of the films in that list.
On Saturday, its second day at the theares, Dishoom earned an additional Rs 12.05 crore. While a good figure, trade sources reported that it wasn’t as high as they had expected — which was the vicinity of a 20 percent rise. However, the film continued to maintain a steady increase in collections, with Sunday seeing another estimated Rs 14.25 crore coming in. The total box office collections of Dishoom after its opening weekend now stand at Rs 37.32 crore. Varun Dhawan’s last film, Dilwale earned around Rs 148 crore at the box office, and before that he had a rs 105 crore earner in ABCD 2. John Abraham was last seen in Rocky Handsome this March.
Now the movie has entered in weekdays and asusual started getting lower response than weekend. On Monday it has faced a heavy drop in its business but still stands well and passed the test on a decent note. As its fourth day collection, Dishoom has minted the amount of 6.10 crore* and take its domestic total to 43.42 cr*. If everything goes in the same way, then it at near about 60 cr in a week.
Dishoom has opened with excellent figures at the worldwide box office. Apart from grossing 52.24 crores (nett. 37.32 crores) at the domestic box office, Dishoom also managed to collect $1.75-2 million (approx 13.2 crores) in the international markets. In its opening weekend, Dishoom has grossed 65.6 crores at the worldwide box office. After Dilwale, this film (Dishoom) has become the best opener for Varun Dhawan in the overseas market. Dishoom is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and it also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles.
