Sardaar Gabbar Singh Movie Review
After a long gap, Pawan Kalyan is back with his most heroic and famous role as Gabbar Singh, inSardaar Gabbar Singh. While the first film was a remake of Salman Khan’s Dabanng, SBS is a new concept. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Sharad Kelkar. South Critic H Shiva is watching the film right now, and here is what he felt about the first half of the film.
“So the day every Pawan Kalyan fan has been waiting for is finally here. The highly anticipated police actioner Sardaar Gabbar Singh has hit the screens and it is entertaining so far. It is the story of a small village Rattanpur in Telangana border. An evil warlord rules the land with an iron fist. A royal family is fighting a losing battle against Bhairav Singh, played by Sharad Kelkar. But like any movie, when evil rules the land, some hero comes to defeat the evil. So here comes Sardaar Gabbar Singh, the new CI of Rattanpur.
But it is not as straightforward as that. Gabbar Singh, played by Pawan Kalyan plays a docile cop in front of the goons. He goofs around the town singing and dancing with Sher, played by Brahmanandam. However, he soon reveals that he is much more than a comedian and starts to go head on with the evil warlord.
Overall, it has been a super clichéd plot so far. But the comedy scenes are quite liberal. Even though it is slightly slapstick in nature, seeing the Power Star make fun of himself and everyone around him will give you a few laughs. All the comedy scenes are probably the best parts in the movie. But one scene that particularly stands out is bar scene, where after entertaining the bad guys with an item song, Pawan Kalyan transforms from a joker to a ruthless cop in a matter of seconds.
