Sardaar Gabbar Singh 13th Day Collection: 2nd Wednesday Performance Report

Sardaar Gabbar Singh Total Collection

Pawan Kalyan’s “Sardar Gabbar Singh” (Sardaar/SGS) has witnessed a large decline in its collection at the worldwide box office in its second weekend. The chances of the movie crossing Rs. 100 crore mark look dim. “Sardar Gabbar Singh” received an earth-shattering opening on April 8 and witnessed record breaking collection at the box office on the first day, but the word of mouth took a toll on its business the next day. The movie is now seeing new lows with each passing day and made average collection in its opening week. “Sardar Gabbar Singh” was estimated to have collected Rs. 83 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first week. But the movie failed to beat the opening week records of “Srimanthudu” and “Attarintiki Daredi,” which are the second and third highest grossing Telugu films until now, respectively.

The Pawan Kalyan and Kajal Aggarwal starrer was expected to make good collection in its second week and rake in the much-needed Rs 17 crore to surpass the Rs. 100-crore mark. However, reports suggest that “Sardar Gabbar Singh” showed over 80 percent drop in its business and is estimated to have collected Rs 7 crore at the worldwide box office in its second weekend, taking its 10-day global total to Rs 90 crore. Non-Telugu films “Fan” and “Theri” took a toll on the business of “Sardar Gabbar Singh” at the worldwide box office in its second weekend.

In the coming week, the movie will face another big threat in the form of “Sarainodu,” which will hit screens on April 22. The Allu Arjun starrer will drive away all mega family fans and may not allow the Pawan Kalyan starrer to cross Rs 100 crore mark in its life time. “Sardar Gabbar Singh” is a commercial entertainer produced on a whopping budget of Rs 75 crore by Pawan Kalyan and Sharrath Marar. Its global theatrical rights were sold for a whopping Rs 87.20 crore to various distributors, according to Andhra Box Office. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs 56 crore for its distributors and is likely to incur huge losses to them.
