Dilwale Ninth 9th Day Collection – 2nd Saturday Business Report

Dilwale 9th Day Box Office Collection

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer “Dilwale” has become Bollywood’s fifth highest grossing film of this year. “Dilwale” has simultaneously entered into the Rs 100 crore club with its first week box office collection. Shah Rukh’s film is Bollywood’s fifth film of 2015 to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office with its net income. The top four Rs 100 crore grossers include, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” and “ABCD 2”. “Dilwale” first week box office collection stands at Rs 102.65 crore. “Dilwale”, which opened to negative reviews, had a strong opening weekend, while collection during weekdays was on the lower side.

The film earned a decent amount on its fourth and fifth day, but the earnings dropped significantly on its sixth day. However, the business picked up again on Christmas Eve.  Rohit Shetty’s directorial film will have a good second Friday at the box office due to Christmas holiday across the country. Meanwhile, here are few box office facts related to “Dilwale” movie and its cast: “Dilwale” is Kajol and Kriti Sanon’s first movie together, Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh’s sixth movie and Varun’s second movie to cross Rs 100 crore mark in India.  “Dilwale” is Bollywood’s 40th movie to earn over Rs 100 crore.

The list does not include the box office income of the Hindi version of “Baahubali – The Beginning”.  At Rs 102.65 cr, “Dilwale” is the 37th highest grosser of Bollywood so far. Now the movie has entered in the second week but as there is no new big release from Bollywood, so Dilwale is not facing any competition except the adjacent one Bajirao Mastani. On the 2nd Friday, being Christmas it has witnessed almost similar response as previous day and minted the amount of 8.11 crores. The movie is positively expected to show good growth from Saturday.

This movie has set fire to the box office screens by making a trendsetting business in the cinema halls and multiplexes. Movie’s second Saturday performance was also very bright and decent considering other latest movies whose box office collection figures went down gradually after or even before the completion of first weekend. As per the report, the 9th day collection of Dilwale is recorded as 7.92 crores*.
