Thoongavanam Critics Review & Star Rating
Kamal Haasan is set for his third release in 2015 in the form of “Thoongavanam”, which is also spelled as “Thoongaa Vanam”. While the latest Tamil movie is releasing in India on 10 November for Diwali, it is hitting the screens a day before in international circuits. “Thoongavanam” is a remake of French movie “Nuit Blanche”. Kamal Haasan himself has penned the screenplay apart from playing the main lead in the Tamil movie, which has Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Kishore, Asha Sarath and Madhu Shalini in the important roles. Kamal Haasan’s favourite M Ghibran has composed the music and the multifaceted actor’s former associate Rajesh M Selva is making his directorial debut with this flick.
Sanu Varghese has handled the camera and Shan Mohammed has edited “Thoongavanam”. “Thoongavanam” is a crime-thriller and the trailer has promised the movie to given an edge-of-the-seat experience for the audience. Even though the film is less hyped compared to other Diwali release “Vedalam” starring Ajith and Kamal’s daughter Shruthi Haasan, this flick cannot be underestimated due to the presence of the big names in the cast.
