Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 6th Day Box Office Collection
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has seen a major fall in collections on Monday which rules out a good run for the next two weeks. The film has dropped over 60% from its Sunday business at an all India level if we take collections till around 6pm. The film is looking to reach just about 10 crore nett though the evening comparison may be slightly better so it may come in a crore or so higher. Last year Happy New Year grossed around 12 crore nett on its Monday and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will do less than that even if evening collections are better. Gujarat / Saurashtra area will hold well till midweek but then holiday period will be over and collections will come down which means the film has further drops to come over the next few days. The film has huge costs but has still emerged a HIT on the strength of business in a few circuits with some of these maybe even finishing in the top three of all time. The 200 crore nett mark is probably the best the film can achieve but for that collections will have to be close to 12 crore nett today and stabilize well on the second Friday.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Prema Leela) 6th Day Box Office Collection
The story is totally different in Delhi city and East Punjab where the film has crashed on Monday. UP is much better but it won’t help the overall circuit much in long run, Both Delhi and East Punjab had to be 1 crore if the film was to to have a chance of sustaining. The extended first week is probably looking at business of 160+ crore nett which does not compare that well with Kick which also did 155 crore nett but in seven days. The Telugu and Tamil versions are a washout and will just about hit 2.25 crore nett lifetime business which is more than half of Happy New Year last year. Meanwhile, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo sixth Day (Wednesday) business was nearly 11.02 Crores. The film is being appreciated for its high quality dramatically based storyline and also the mind blowing performance given by the main leads of this film.
