Anarkali (2015) 1st & 2nd Day Box Office Collection
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon’s latest film “Anarkali” was released in Kerala, Benguluru and Tamil Nadu on Friday, 13 November. The film is the debut directorial venture of Sachy of script writers Sachy-Sethu duo and has Miya George, Priyal Gor, Sudev Nair, Biju Menon, Samskruthy Shenoy and Kabir Bedi in pivotal roles. While Prithviraj will be seen as Sub Lieutenant Shantanu, Biju plays the role of Lieutenant Zacharia. The movie has started on a good note at box office and recorded around 40-45% of occupancy on its first day in India. It has received positive reviews from critics as well as audience across the country. Prithviraj Sukumaran is one of the very popular actors in Malayalam and has good fan following, that is the reason Anarkali is having good hype among audience. As per the early report, on its opening day the movie has done the business of approximately 1.10 crores*. The film on the holiday has done a fair collection and audience occupancy is also highest today in comparison to the first two days of release.

On the next day i.e. Saturday, it recorded slight drop in occupancy as well as in business. On its second day, the movie was collected the amount of 1.30 Crore* with 45-47% occupancy. Till the end of 2 days, total collection of Anarkali was recorded as 2.40 Crore* at domestic box office. Film has set good records at the Malayalam film industry cash registers and also gained good name in joist three days. Sunday has resulted in a very high occupancy supported and increased public response. The day was filled with nice crowd everywhere in the cinema halls and theatres throughout the day. Today is its third day of release and being Sunday, Anarkali has started the with higher occupancy than yesterday. As per the early report from theaters, today the overall occupancy of the movie would be around 55% and its collected is estimated to be around 2.30 Cr*. With these figures total weekend collection of the movie is calculated as 4.70 Crore*.
