Puli 6th Day Box Office Collection
It has been a great year for fantasy period films. After SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali went all guns blazing and conquered the box office, setting a plethora of records tumbling, it is now turn for yet another highly anticipated fantasy film to rule the roost at box office. Vijay-Sridevi-Shruti Haasan starrer Puli opened to a lot of negative reviews, but that doesn’t seem to have affected Puli’s run at the box office. Chimbu Devan’s fantasy adventure flick raked Rs 10.75 crore on Day 1 in Tamil Nadu. In Kerala, the film raked Rs 3.2 crore while in Karnataka Puli minted Rs 4 crore on the opening day. Also, the film had a tremendous buzz at overseas market, as Puli earned Rs 10 crore in overseas box office. So the total box office collection of Vijay’s flick was nearly Rs 28 crore on the opening day. But if you jog you memory a little, Prabhas-Rana Daggubati’s Baahubali had crosses Rs 50 crore mark at the box office on the opening day.
Puli 6 Days Total Box Office Collection
Taking into account Saturday’s box office figures, Vijay-Sridevi’s Puli has earned over Rs 65 crore worldwide in three days, which is a phenomenal feat indeed. But Baahubali had surpassed Rs 100 crore mark at box office world wide in just two days. Though Puli’s great run at box office will be a heartening news for Vijay fans, it is quite clear that Vijay-Sridevi starrer lacks the might to overpower the box office juggernaut called Baahubali. Meanwhile Despite mixed reviews, Puli managed to collect 8+ crores* on the fifth day and 6.50 crores* on the sixth day. The film managed to pull off a collection of 35 crores in three days. Collections being highest for Tamil and Telugu versions since the Hindi version suffered mainly due to Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bliing releasing the same day
