Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer “Phantom” has failed to cross the Rs 50 crore at the domestic box office, but it managed to make it to the top 10 first week box office collection in India. “Phantom” earned Rs 48.75 cror*e in its 8 days of released in India. It was expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in its first week, but the box office collection dropped on the fifth and seventh day. The action drama, directed by Kabir Khan, will now cross the half century mark by its second weekend as the collections will drop further in its second week due to the release of “Welcome Back”. Meanwhile, “Phantom” has earned $ 1.65 million (Rs 10.97 crore) from the overseas box office in one week. The first week worldwide box office collection has crossed Rs 58.37 crore mark. ‘Phantom’ is still witnessing considerable amounts of audience in the theaters. The film is much in limelight not only because of its star cast and director but also because of the controversies surrounding it.
