Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (KKPK) 2nd Day Collection- Saturday Box Office Business Report

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu 2nd Day Box Office Collection

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon is looking set for a good first day collection of around 10.15 crore nett. The film has been aided by a holiday for Bakri Eid but even taking that factor out which has probably added around 30-35% on the collections, its still a good start on real value. The opening in terms of morning occupancies can be placed in a similar range to films like Brothers and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The only films that actually opened better than Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon this year are Bajrangi Bhaijaan, ABCD 2 and Welcome Back in terms of early show occupancies. The film has done very well in North and Central India and Gujarat also scoring but the business on Saturday is crucial as it will come to its actual level without holiday backing. a similar number would be very good and even a drop of 15-20% will do but a larger drop will be a matter of concern. Abbas-Mastan, the directors who tried to do something different by launching Kapil as the hero in their very first comedy flick has done wonders for them. Kapils popularity and performance in the otherwise dim-witted comedy has helped pull audience into the theaters.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon Saturday Box Office Response

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon has released in over 1500 screens across the country, a rather low number owing to the competition from Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls and Kunal Khemu’s Bhaag Johnny. Had Kapil’s movie got more screens, it would have easily grossed double the money. As of now, the trade experts have reported that the film’s second day collection will be around Rs 10.90 crores*. Reports suggest that the movie may even end up recording the highest opening of a debutant’s film. Having made on a budget of Rs 20+ crores*, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon might easily recover it’s making cost and prove to be profitable investment for the makers. While the morning shows saw 40% occupancy, noon, evening and night shows saw 80-90% occupancy in single screen theaters in north India. This assures good collections for the movie. The movie is expected to take good growth in weekend because of positive word of mouth. “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” features Kapil, Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Phadnis, Amrita Puri, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram, Sai Lokur, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena, Manoj Joshi, Sharad Sankla (Charlie), and Johnny Lever’s daughter Jamie Lever.
