Utopiayile Rajavu Second 2nd Day Collection- Friday Box Office Business Report

Utopiayile Rajavu 2nd Day Box Office Collection

Megastar Mammootty and Jewel Mary’s Onam release “Utopiayile Rajavu”, which was released on Thursday, 27 August, has garnered mixed response from the audience. The film, which is a socio-political satire that has been directed by popular filmmaker Kamal, marks the comeback of the director-actor duo after 9 years. Their previous release was the critically acclaimed 2006 film, “Karutha Pakshikal”. The movie deals with the story of sculptor and social figure CS Swathanthran, played by Mammootty, in a fictional land named Kokranghara. He is the son of a freedom fighter. However, the Kerala audience’s response on social media suggests that the film has failed to meet the expectations of the Mammootty starrer. Some even mentioned that the film has some similarities with Biju Menon’s hit film “Vellimoonga”, released in 2014. But from the critical reviews, it is understood that “Utopiayile Rajavu” promises some funny moments and many have appreciated Mammootty’s performance. The film also highlights some relevant socio-political issues.
