Much buzzed and talked off movie of Saif & katrina that hit the Indian theatres yesterday – Phantom, has got a good opening on box office. The first day was a favorable one for the film as it received decent public reviews after the shows. Today Phantom opened with increased rush and public as it was a weekend day today i.e. Saturday. As expected it is getting good support of fans & audience, which is creating positive environment for Phantom at box office. Word of mouth attracts more audience to watch the movie, and same is expected in the case of Phantom. Today, the film opened to an average start and has managed to have 40% occupancy. But the film has got good reviews and so it is expected that the collections of the film will increase on the weekend. But overseas, Phantom has got an impressive start. In UAE it has managed to collect 1.19 crores on the first day and so we expect Phantom to do a great business out India.
Phantom Saturday Business Report
After a good start on its opening day the film has done a fair collection on its second day of release too. Though the film is not a much high budget biggie of the year now, neither it has any high star value nor it has been promoted pretty enough but still the business figures in the first two days are quite satisfying. Phantom raked pretty well amount today and total Second Day earning of this film is around 10.50 Crores*. Today is crucial for the film as it is Rakhsha Bandhan and the growth should be a bit more than normal. The film should be looking at a 30 crore nett weekend and can go higher if it can grow 40-50% on Saturday. Overall, the film has started off decently in cities but mass circuits have recorded a lower occupancy. Usually most films make a good business in Mumbai, Pune and Gujarat circuits but due to unrest in Gujarat, theaters are shut and hence the opening there will be affected. Cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore on the other hand are expected to show a jump for the evening shows.
