Drishyam 7th Day Business Report
Rarely does a film show growth at the box office during weekdays, but Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer “Drishyam” is one of them. “Drishyam”, directed by Nishikanth Kamat, has shown more than 10% jump in its collection at the box office on Tuesday. Monday’s box office collection of “Drishyam” was Rs 4.05 crore and adding 11% more to that income is Tuesday’s earnings. The five days total of Ajay-Tabu starrer “Drishyam” now stands at Rs 38.58 crore. It is expected to collect around 3.75 crores on the first Wednesday, that is 6th day of the film. The thriller drama is now inching towards the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. The film is gaining momentum at the box office mostly due to positive response. Not only Bollywood celebrities, but critics and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also praised the movie. Anyhow, Overseas income of the film is also nice but not as excellent as other top movies. In total 7 days journey it has reported ordinary performance plus response in the weekdays and that only the first weekend business has added some figures to the 1 week business.
Drishyam Thursday Performance at Box Office
Total 1 Week Income of Drishyam is pretty enough and after making a great entry in the first weekend the total collection of the film in 7 days is around 41.20 Crores* with the 7th day collection of around 3.35 Crores*. The film has not been able to maintain its name among the viewers and it performed not up to the mark as per the audience expectations and critic’s reviews. With such figures in one week of its entrance, it is expected that Drishyam might do bit in the coming weekend and other days to come in future weeks else it may pack up soon from the screens. Previously, Ajay Devgn’s Action Jackson made 45.75 crores on its first week itself and his Drishyam is currently dragging itself towards 41+ crore in the first week, this itself shows how poor the film has performed. The film may add more moolah over the second week but after the release of Brothers in the next week, it is expected to fold in major centers.
