Drishyam 2nd Day Box Office Performance
Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer “Drishyam” has opened to good reviews, but the film failed to have a good opening at the box office. “Drishyam” has opened to approximately 10 to 15% occupancy on first day in India and since the screen count is just 2365, the film will have low opening day box office collection. Ajay’s last few releases including “Singham Returns” and “Action Jackson” received good to average opening, but “Drishyam” opening is below average. According to Box Office India, the opening of “Drishyam” is lower than “Piku”, “Hamari Adhuri Kahani” and other movies released this year. But since “Drishyam” is backed by positive reviews, the collection is expected to pick up during its first weekend in India. Meanwhile, not only low occupancy but “Drishyam” business will be affected by the ongoing film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” starring Salman Khan. The buzz surrounding “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is higher than Ajay’s “Drishyam” and thus it will dominate the box office.
