Brothers 8th Day Box Office Collection
Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Mahotra’s ‘Brothers’ is drawing a huge audience and getting a good response from all over thereby impressing audiences and even filmmakers. Climbing at a steadfast speed, ‘Brothers’ have made a decent collection of Rs 72.60 crore. Karan Malhotra, who accompanied Siddharth to the theatre, shared that he was scared before the film’s release on August 14. Now, “Brothers” has brought in Rs 72.60 crore in its first-week, which is the second highest box office collection after Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. “Brothers has shattered the first-week box office collection records of Bollywood films, including “ABCD 2”, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, “Gabbar Is Back” and “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”. “Brothers” had a decent box office collection in its first-week, but the earnings would have been better if it would have maintained a strong hold at ticket windows on first Monday. The first Monday fall in the collection affected the overall business of the movie. Nevertheless, the film recorded the second highest first-week box office collection of 2015. In addition, “Brothers” first-week income is the highest for Akshay this year. Its an action packed drama and stars Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.
Brothers 2nd Friday Box Office Business
Akshay has showed a consistent performance at the box office this year, starting with “Baby”. On its second Friday i.e. 8th day at box office, the collection of the movie is around 3.10 crores*. But the actor still has to achieve a Rs 100 crore film this year. The star-actor has been staying consistent as far as Box Office opening is concerned. However, since the Karan Malhotra directed film met with a mixed response amongst audience, the collections couldn’t hold, due to which Brothers is not turning out to be a big grosser. Nevertheless, Akshay has now moved on to Singh Is Bliing which would be his first light hearted film this year and would cater to larger family audiences. Sidharth too has his next release catering to families in the form of Kapoor and Sons in March 2016. Karan Malhotra and Karan Johar would now be kick-starting Shuddhi next. The film is as big as it gets and with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt coming on board, there are huge expectations from it.
