Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra’s film Brothers has raked in much moolah over a week-and-a-half since its release. Based on sibling rivalry and how two brothers battle their hatred out inside a Mixed Martial Arts’ cage, this Karan Malhotra film hit the screens on August 14 this year. In its opening week, Brothers earned Rs 72.6 crore in India. And now, after 12 days at the theatres, the film has made a business of Rs 80.30 crore*. Worldwide, the film has grossed Rs 100.35 crore*. Brothers opened to mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and a fabulous response from cinegoers in its opening weekend. The film crossed the Rs 50-crore mark in its first three days itself. While this is Akshay Kumar’s fastest film to earn Rs 50 crore, Brothers is Sidharth’s secind film to have earned a double-digit number of crores at the India box office. This week, the film saw much competition from the two fresh releases, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Manjhi The Mountain Man, and Abhishek Bachchan’s All Is Well.

Brothers 2nd Wednesday Business Report

Yesterday being its second Tuesday, the response towards the movie was already expected to be low because normal weekdays always results in less collection than weekends. On its 12th day, Brothers has made the business of 1.15 crore* from Indian screens. Today is the 13th day of the movie at box office, the same response is expected as yesterday. As per the received reports, the collection of the movie today is estimated around 1.20 crore*. Now only one day is left for the movie to perform better because from this Friday, new movie Phantom is releasing which is having good hype among audience. Morever, Manjhi is the biopic of Dashrath Manjhi, the poor labourer from Gelhore village near Gaya, Bihar, who single-handedly carved a road through a mountain over a period of 22 years. All Is Well, on the other hand, is a family entertainer which deals with a dysfunctional family and how they sort their issues out over a journey.
