Salman-Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is making its way out of theaters, but that has not stopped the film from breaking records. After becoming the second highest Bollywood grosser in India, the film has now acquired the same spot at the overseas box office as well. “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is now the second highest grosser of all time at the overseas box office with Rs 192 crore earnings. “Dhoom 3”, which was released in 2013, earned $31.1 million (Rs 191.04 crore) from the overseas box office. In terms of Indian currency, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” earned Rs 192 crore, while “Dhoom 3” earned Rs 191.04 crore. “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” overseas box office collection is higher only because the current exchange rate is Rs 66.14, while in 2013, during “Dhoom 3” release it was approximately Rs 62.03. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has emerged as Salman Khan’s biggest hit to date, breaking several box office records in India and abroad. It has become the fastest Hindi film to gross Rs 1 billion net domestically and is currently is the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India and second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in international markets.

“Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is still running successfully in theatres. The box office collection and screen count of “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has declined, but that has not affected the buzz. With limited screens, the film is going houseful in several theatres across India. “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has earned Rs 319.05 crore* in 41-day and by 7th weekend, the box office collection will be approximately Rs 319.50 crore*. Today being the 6th Thursday or 42nd Day and box office income to be around Rs 18 lacs*. Although, the two films have released over a month back, they haven’t lost steam and are performing decently well even now. Meanwhile, talking of the success of the film Salman said that more than the box office collection, he is happy about audience responses. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was declared an All Time Blockbuster by Box office India. The film crossed 3.5 crore viewers which makes it the most watched Indian film ever since Gadar: Ek Prem Katha in 2001 and beating PK, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3 and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is also the third Indian film and second Hindi film to net Rs 3 billion in India and the second Indian film to gross Rs 600 crore worldwide.
