SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali – The Beginning” (Bahubali) starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in the leads, has done well in its sixth week also at the worldwide box office. The sixth week saw “Baahubali – The Beginning” losing many screens to Hindi movies “Brothers” and “Gour Hari Dastaan”, Tamil films “Vaalu” and “Vauvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga”, Telugu flicks “Cinema Chupista Maava” and “Upendra 2” and Kannada movie “Uppi 2” and “Buguri”. The business of Tamil and Malayalam versions of “Baahubali – The Beginning” has been completely slowed down by new releases. Its Hindi version is doing well, while the original movie (in Telugu) held to some theatres where it did fantastic business in its sixth weekend. The movie ran to packed houses at certain theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. When compared to the fifth weekend collection, “Baahubali – The Beginning” has witnessed over 50% drop in its business. The Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer earned about Rs 12 crore gross from its four versions at the worldwide box office in its sixth weekend. Its 39-day global gross collection stands at Rs 577.95 crore*.

The director S.S. Rajamouli and the entire ensemble star cast that includes Prabhas Raju, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty & Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles, getting huge appreciation for their work in the movie. Each & every aspect of the movie has attracted audience towards theaters, even still the movie running smoothly across the globe. Anyhow, On its 40th day of release i.e. Tuesday, it has got slightly lower response than Monday and done the business of around 60 lacs* and made its total to 578.55 crores*. “Baahubali – The Beginning”, which is Part 1 of the two-part period drama, has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 120 crore. Its worldwide distribution rights were said to have been sold for a record Rs 140 crore. The movie has been successful in fetching 150% return for the distributors. “Baahubali – The Beginning” has become one of the biggest money spinners of Indian cinema. The movie has become the third all-time highest grosser, beating the lifetime collection record of Aamir Khan’s “Dhoom 3”. Now, it is heading towards the box office record of Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, which is the second all-time highest grosser with its 31-day collection of Rs 600 crore.
