Confirmed – Sonakshi Sinha to play RAW Agent in Abhinay Deo’s Force 2

After lot of speculations that who will play the lead actress role opposite John Abraham in Force sequel titled as Force 2, and now the makers of the film have found one. With the latest buzz, director Abhinay Deo has finalized Sonakshi Sinha opposite John Abraham is Force 2. Yes, Sonakshi Sinha has been finalised as the main lead opposite John Abraham in “Abhinay Deo’s Force 2″. The film is a sequel to the popular 2011 Vipul Shah film Force which also starred John Abraham alongside Vidyut Jamwal and Genelia D’Souza. We are yet to find out if Vidyut will also feature in the sequel.

While the first film was directed by Nishikant Kamat, the sequel is being helmed by Abhinay Deo. Earlier, Katrina Kaif‘s name as the lead opposite John was doing the rounds but Kat shot down those reports at an event confirming that she is not doing the film. Force went on to be one of the most successful action films of 2011 and the makers have decided to make the sequel even more high-octane and adrenaline pumping than the prequel.

This is the first time Sona and John have been paired opposite each other and it would be rather interesting to watch their chemistry on screen.  Jr Shotgun will be seen doing a lot of action sequences in her upcoming film Akira so we are hoping to see some of her action spill over to Force 2 as well! The film is likely to go on floors in September this year and sources suggest that the makers are aiming for a release in the first half of 2016.

John Abraham’s character in the film was praised and appreciated by the critics and audiences and now that the actor is part of the sequel, more of action and drama is on its way for the audiences in part 2. Talking about Shotgun jr, Sonakshi Sinha is currently shooting for action thriller film Akira. The film which is the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil film ‘Mounaguru, will see lots of actions in the film and we are expecting the same in Force 2.
