Baahubali Overseas Box Office Collection
Within 24 hours of release, SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali” (‘Bahubali’) is breaking box office collection records of Indian films. The latest box office report for the movie from the US suggests that the film has collected over $1.5 million (approx) on its opening day. Initial official reports say the collection stood at $1,010,550 from 118 screens, beating that of Aamir Khan’s “PK” and Kangana Ranaut’s “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”. “PK” earned $967,152 while “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” collected $250,000 on the opening day in the US. Box office sources predict the movie is poised to break all-time records of other Indian films such as Rajinikanth’s “Enthiran”, Shahrukh Khan’s “Happy New Year”, Salman Khan’s “Kick” and Aamir Khan’s “Dhoom 3”. Bahubali released this morning and has been receiving some rave reviews form the critics.
The film started off with a good opening occupancy in India and it is hard to believe that it has already begun to take overseas by storm. Made on a whopping budget of 250 crore, “Baahubali – the Beginning” has simultaneously been shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Malayalam and Hindi. The promos of all these languages have garnered huge amount of attention not only in India, but also in the international markets. Many theatres displayed houseful boards, and many film goers did not get tickets for the film. “Baahubali” directed by SS Rajamouli has star cast of Prabhas, Rana Dagubbatti, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Anushka Shetty, Sudeep, Nasser, Prabhakar, Sathyaraj, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani, Rohini, Prabhakar, Rakesh Varrem Charandeep and Meka Ramakrishna.
