SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus grabbed eyeballs with its first trailer and since then the fans have been waiting with bated breath to watch the most-anticipated film of the year. And, within a day of its release, Baahubali has set the cash registers on fire by creating history. The film has not just become the biggest opener of the year, but has also recorded the highest first day collections ever. The film has not just managed to wow audiences and critics, but the multi-lingual film has also been able to pull the audiences to the theatres. Baahubali has made been made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously and the film has been dubbed in Hindi too. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has bought the rights of the film in Hindi. Baahubali has not just received a phenomenal response down South, but the Hindi version has also minted moolah at the box office on its opening day. After the so favorable public response for Baahubali on the second day, movie has managed to gain a growth by its third day of release. And the ticket price for these shows was as high as Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000 in some regions.

The film has been released in different countries on large number of screens and this has helped it out in increasing its overseas collection on the average. We saw that the opening day performance of Baahubali on overseas screens was adorable but the film dropped its business bit on the second day. But with the Sunday falling on the third day, film has regained its position and pace among the audience hearts. The figures of its Third day are still being compiled. If we are to go by the early estimates, the film has grossed over Rs 70 crore* at the worldwide box office on the third day or first weekend. Made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, the Prabhas-Rana Daggubati-Tamannaah-Anushka Shetty starrer has set a new benchmark in the history of Indian cinema. “Baahubali – the Beginning” has shown the world that the Indian cinema is nothing less than Hollywood or other International film industries in production, marketing and box-office collection.
