ABCD 2 First Week Box Office Business

After seeing its superb business, trade experts predicted that the film would cross Rs 100 crore mark in the second weekend and become the fastest Rs 100 crore grosser of 2015, beating the previous record of “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, which has surpassed this magical number in 11 days. But unlike “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, “ABCD 2” could not maintain the pace in its second week. It lost out a large number of screens to new releases like “Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho” and “Uvaa”, which took a toll on its business. The domestic total of “ABCD 2” will reach Rs 97 crore by the end of the second week and the film needs just Rs 3 crore to cross the Rs 100 crore mark. However, the film has some competitors such as “Bezubaan Ishq”, “Guddu Rangeela” and “Second Hand Husband”, which will be released on 3 July. Trade experts feel that these new releases will snatch some screens from “ABCD 2” and slow down its collection and that they may not allow the film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office in the third weekend.
