Tanu Weds Manu Returns Total Box Office Collection
Kangana Ranaut’s “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” is unstoppable at the domestic box office. Even after five weeks, the film has managed to hold good number of screens in several theaters across India. After five weeks, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” has fetched in Rs 148.29 crore from domestic box office. “Tanu Weds Manu Returns collected Rs 3.25 cr in Week 5. Grand total: Rs 148.29 cr. ATBB,” box office analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted. The film, also starring R Madhavan in the lead role, is all set to shatter the lifetime box office collection record of Salman Khan’s “Bodyguard”. After adding the sixth weekend box office collection, the film will take its total to more than Rs 149 crore. The film might also cross the Rs 150 crore mark at the domestic box office after sixth weekend. Meanwhile, Madhavan recently talked about the box office success of “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”.

In an interview with a leading daily, the actor said that his film has potential to take its worldwide box office collection to more than Rs 200 crore mark. “Yes, it is a big hit and continues to rock the box-office, even one month after its release. The film has potential to do lifetime of Rs 220 to Rs 230 Crore from worldwide theatricals alone, which is huge by any yardstick. And the satellite television rights are yet to be sold,” Madhavan told Firstpost. The actor also hinted at another sequel to “Tanu Weds Manu”. “Right now I’m looking at some scripts and if something excites me, will do it. As far as Tanu Weds Manu is concerned, it has become the biggest franchise film in India, and I’m sure there will be a part 3, as and when Anand (L Rai) decides,” he added. The film is already the highest grosser of the year and the first film of 2015 to make it to the 100 crore club. Will TWMR reach the big figure of 150 crores at the domestic box office?
