Ranna 1st Day Box Office Collection
Sudeep’s much-awaited “Ranna” has finally hit the screens on Thursday, 4 June. The Kannada movie is directed by Nanda Kishore of the “Victory” fame and produced by M Chandrashekhar. “Ranna” is a family drama, which is the remake of Telugu hit film “Attarintiki Daredi”. The makers have made minor changes in the Kannada version to suit the tastes of the local audience. Rachita Ram and Haripriya are playing the female leads in the flick. Big names like Prakash Rai, Devaraj and Madhoo of the ‘Annaiya” fame will be seen in key roles with Sharath Lohitashwa, Mandya Ramesh, Sadhu Kokila, Chikanna and others in the supporting cast. V Harikrishna has composed the music, Sudhakar S Raj has handled the camera and KM Prakash had edited the flick. “Ranna” reportedly had early morning shows in about 100 theatres in Karnataka. The overall screen count is 200.
Ranna Opening Day Box Office Collection
The movie has earned Rs 1.90 crore approx on the opening day in Karnataka. The movie had an occupancy over 57% on the first day. “Ranna” opened to fairly positive reviews. While the first half has been highly appreciated, the second half failed to maintain the same momentum, leading critics to declare it as just an average movie. Although, Ranna Worldwide Collection is predicted about Rs. 3 Crore (approx.) On the other hand, tomorrow the film might face a strong competition from Bollywood’s Dil Dhadakne Do Collection. The impressive part of the “Ranna” story is that the film has managed to survive the tough competition posed by Telugu & Tamil movie “Masss” starring Suriya. “Masss” had more shows than the Kannada movie and it was expected that to some extent it would affect “Ranna”. However, in the end, the Sudeep’s starrer film has emerged successful.
