Premam 4th Weekend Box Office Collection
“Premam” has taken Malayalam cinema by surprise with the kind of reception it has been receiving. “Premam” has again proved that content is king when it comes to a film’s success. “Premam”, directed by Alphonse Putharen, had opened to overwhelming response in Kerala. Besides Nivin Pauly, the film has been appreciated for the performance of its lead actors Anupama Parameshwara, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian, Krishnan Shankar, Sabareesh Varma, Renji Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Soubin Sahir, Wilson Joseph, Jude Anthany Joseph and Maniyanpilla Raju. This is something new for the Malayalam industry, as in the past few years big starrer Tamil films used to do better business than Malayalam films in the state. In Chennai, the demand for the screening for “Premam” has increased and thereby theatres like Mayajaal has increased the number of screenings from four to ten on 6 June (Saturday), ensuring a strong fourth week run for the movie.
Premam 25th Day Box Office Business
Nivin Pauly’s latest movie “Premam” is continuing its good run at the box office in India in its fourth weekend. Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai believes that the business of “Premam” has broken almost all existing records of Malayalam cinema. The film’s gross box office collection from all over the world is expected to be close to Rs 50 crore. Meanwhile, the film has created a record at the popular Apasara theatre in Kozhikode. On Monday (22 June), “Premam” completed 25 days. The movie’s team released the video of the popular “Malare” song online which got over 1 million views within 14 hours of release. “Premam” has become a sensation overseas as well. Accoding to the film’s US distributor Great India Films, the Nivin Pauly starrer’s collection in two weeks have reached $150,000 and could end up as the highest grossing Malayalam movie shortly.
