Tanu Weds Manu Returns 8th Eighth Day Collection – Second Friday Box Office Report

Tanu Weds Manu Returns 8th Day Box Office Collection

Directed by Anand L Rai, Kangana Ranaut & R. Madhavan starrer romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu Returns has completed its first week journey yesterday. It was the eighth working day for the movie and now the pace has been speed up in the later days very well as in the previous one. 8th Day box office collection of TWMR is around 75.02 Crores approx which is excellent including the 8th day figures of 5 Crores approx.

Kangana Ranaut’s “Tanu Weds Manu returns” has crossed Rs 70 crore in its first week at the domestic box office, while the overseas collection now stands at Rs 25 crore taking the worldwide total to Rs 95 crore. The report further states that the numbers are a huge bonus for tanu-weds-manu-moviecorporate giant Eros as they have already owned the scene with previous off-beat productions, “Badlapur” and “NH10”.

That Kangana Ranaut is one of the finest actors in Bollywood today is no news. But this pretty lady has become a crowd puller as well. She surely doesn’t need a Khan to get cash registers jingling. And her latest film Tanu Weds Manu Returns is testimony to that fact. The romantic comedy directed by Aanand L Rai co-starring R Madhavan hit the screens last Friday and since then it has literally created dhoom at the ticket windows. With multiple releases this week, none of them managed to score a decent opening occupancy. Welcome To Karachi, Ishqedarriyaan, P Se PM Tak, Chor Bazaari and Chaar Cutting released today.

Welcome To Karachi managed only a 10% occupancy for the morning shows where as Ishqedarriyaan was a minimal 5%. Both films have not received much favorable reviews from the critics nor do they have any buzz and thus are expected to score low on the opening day. It looks like last week’s release Tanu Weds Manu Returns will be once again dominating the theaters this weekend considering the film has already managed a good stride over the first week at the Box Office.
