Piku 9th Day Box Office Collection
Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan starrer “Piku” continues its success at the box office even after the release of “Bombay Velvet”. The film remained the first choice at several multiplexes and single screens across India on its second Friday. “Piku” directed by Shoojit Sircar minted Rs 3.10 crore on second Friday. The net box office income of the film now stands at Rs 44.52 crore and it might cross the Rs 50 crore mark in India by Saturday or Sunday. The family drama has charmed audiences with its storyline, content and great performances. Talking about the success of the film, Deepika says that the whole team of “Piku” is overwhelmed. With “Bombay Velvet” having a disappointing start, “Piku” is expected to dominate the box office this week as well. One can expect “Piku” to cross Rs 65 crore mark at the box office in its lifetime run.
Piku 2nd Saturday Box Office Business
Piku had an amazing run at the Box Office both at the Overseas as well as in India. The movie, after a 41.40 crores 1st week collections, managed to remain steady even on its Day 9. On its 2nd Saturday, despite facing a screen crunch thanks to Bombay Velvet, kept up its stride and collected Rs 3 crores approx at the domestic box office. Piku now stands at a nett India total of 47.40 crores approx. This Shoojit Sircar directorial is just 10 lakhs away from beating Ranbir Kapoor’s Roy and take the 4th spot at Top 10 Highest Grossers of 2015 List. The movie will soon, also beat Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur, thus becoming the 3rd Highest earning film of the year.
