Lion Telugu Sunday Box Office Collection
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Lion” has maintained remarkable collection on Saturday and crossed the Rs 15 crore mark at the global box office in just three days. “Lion” was released in around 650 cinema halls in the two Telugu-speaking states on 14 May and received great opening everywhere. The action entertainer raked in approximately Rs 5.50 crore net at the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana (AP/T) box office on the first day of its release. The movie did superb business in B and C centres, while its collection was good on its opening day. The Balakrishna-Trisha-Radhika starrer garnered mixed reviews from critics and viewers, who described it as a perfect treat for Nandamuri fans. The word-of-mouth took a toll on its business on Friday. In addition, its business went down in A centres. Having witnessed 55% drop, “Lion” collected approximately Rs 2.50 crore net on its second day.
Lion First Weekend Box Office Business
The business of “Lion” continued to slide down on Saturday. On its third day, the film collected Rs 2.25 crore net, taking its three day total Rs 10.25 crore net. The trade experts describe it as a decent collection. But the movie has failed to beat the three-day business record of Balakrishna’s last release “Legend”, which had raked in approximately Rs 13.32 crore net. Now, Today is the 4th Day and movie collection just Rs 4 Crore approx. “Lion” has been released in around 350 cinema halls in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, some parts of North India and international markets including 100+ screens in the USA and Canada. The film has collected approximately Rs 5+ crore net from its screening in all these areas. It has raked around Rs 19+ crore net at the worldwide box office in four days. The makers of “Lion” are yet to reveal the official numbers of its collection. The collection mentioned above is approximate figures, which may vary from the official numbers.
