Akshay Kumar’s “Gabbar Is Back” had a good first week run at the domestic box office. After “Baby”, “Gabbar Is Back” is the second movie of the year that earned decent amount at the box office. Interestingly, both the movies feature Akshay in the lead role. “Gabbar Is Back” has done a business of Rs 59.86 crore in its first week run. “Gabbar Is Back” is the second highest grosser of 2015 and it is still raking in decent money at the box office. Akshay starrer “Gabbar Is Back” had a good opening weekend and even during the weekdays the film maintained a strong hold at the box office. Since it was a solo release, the film earned well in its first week, but second week serves as main challenge for “Gabbar Is Back” as Amitabh Bachchan-Deepika Padukone-Irrfan Khan starrer “Piku” releases today.

“Piku” has been carrying strong reviews and word of mouth and is expected to open well at the box office, giving tough competition to Akshay’s film. “Piku” release might also affect the Rs 100 crore income run of “Gabbar Is Back”. he movie Gabbar Is Back is doing well till now and the movie is predicted to perform with a good pace for the future days as well. On Eighth Day or 2nd Friday the movie, Gabbar Is Back is estimating a Box Office Income of Rs. 3.60 Crore approx. The trade portal stated, “The second week is all important for the film as it must hold well, it has chances to be highest grosser of year but if it falls short it should have the highest distributor share of the year as it clocked up a 30 crore plus share in week one and should beat the 38 crore of Baby.”
