But trade website Bollywood Hungama tweeted that “Gabbar Is Back” is the second highest grosser, while Akshay’s “Baby” is the highest grosser of 2015. The domestic collection of Gabbar Is Back is Rs 82.56 crore while “Baby” Collection approx Rs.94 Cr. The domestic box office collection of “Gabbar Is Back” stands at Rs 82.31 crore, while “Baby” lifetime total is approximately Rs 94 crore. Nevertheless, “Gabbar Is Back” has touched the coveted Rs 100 crore club at the worldwide box office. After Akshay’s “Baby”, it’s “Gabbar Is Back” that has taken its net worldwide box office total to more than Rs 100 crore. The overseas box office collection of “Gabbar Is Back” is $2.8 million (Rs 17.81 crore).

The film has also been affected by the current season of IPL. Despite of all x factors the film is still in the market and collecting at box office at slow rate. The 19th day box office collection of movie is 50 Lacs and the film has completed its 20th at box office and collected 40 lacs. Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan starrer “Piku” has also crossed the ₹100 crore mark, but with its gross income collected from worldwide box office. “Gabbar Is Back” is still enjoying its theatrical run in India, but the collection will decrease further after the release of “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” on 22 May. The box office collection of Akshay starrer “Gabbar Is Back” is likely to end at ₹85 crore in India. Apart from Akshay, the film also features Shruti Haasan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles.
