Mr. X 8th Day Box Office Collection
Emraan Hashmi’s science thriller “Mr X” has completed its first week run at the domestic box office, but on a low note. After a low opening weekend, the science thriller dropped drastically during the week days. “Mr X” first week box office collection is estimated to be Rs 20.50 crore. Emraan’s film earned Rs 13.99 crore in its opening weekend and Rs 6.51 crore in the remaining five days (from first Monday to Friday). “Mr X” opened to mixed to negative reviews on Friday and failed to impress audience, following which the collection dropped drastically. “Mr X” is Emraan’s fourth film after “Raja Natwarlal”, “Ghanchhakkar” and “Ungli” that fared poorly in India. While the film didn’t face much competition furing its first week run, in week two Hollywood movie “Avengers Age Of Ultron” will dominate box office centers.
Mr. X Second Saturday Box Office Business
Mr X continued to show a gloomy performance over its Second Friday. The film collected Rs.1 crores on its Day 8th, taking its 8 Days total Rs.22.50 crores. “Mr. X” has received mixed reviews from the critics. The film is performing its best in the North circuits such as Delhi, UP. Being meant for a family audience, the film was expected to perform better at the multiplexes but it has not. Overall the film’s music being popular and also since it is a 3D film with superhero undertones, it has managed to pull off decent first week. But film will have a tough time on the second weekend considering the big Hollywood release of “Averngers : Age of Ultron” this week. The superhero drama is one of the most awaited films and has a huge fan base in India. Avengers will prove to be a tough competition for “Mr. X”. “Mr X” is a 3D sci-fi thriller, which has been written by Shagufta Rafique, directed Vikram Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt
