Margarita With A Straw 3rd Day Box Office Collection
When compared to “Mr X”, another new release “Margarita With A Straw” lacks hype and promotions. The Kalki Koechlin starrer is a critically acclaimed movie, which was screened at several international film festivals in 2014 and picked up a few awards also. Released in a limited number of screens, “Margarita With A Straw” opened to an average response and collected Rs 50 lakh at the Indian box office on the first day. Its business remained average with its collection reaching Rs 45 lakh net on the second day. Its two-day domestic total stands at Rs.95 lakh net. “Mr X” and “Margarita With A Straw” have taken a toll on the collection of last week’s releases “Ek Paheli Leela” and “Dharam Sankat Mein” and two-week-old film “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!”.
Margarita With A Straw First Weekend Box Office Business
As per reports, the occupancy report at most of the places seemed dull, thanks to the nature of the film and minimal star value, which is seen coming in its way. Also, the other masala movies like the science fiction called Mr. X starring Emraan Hashmi and the previous released movie Ek Paheli Leela seem to be a big competition before the this movie. So, looking at the recent reports the movie collected Rs.50 lakhs on its first weekend i.e. 1st Sunday at the Domestic Box Office, which is pretty average. The film is an inspirational love story about a Delhi university student and aspiring writer afflicted with cerebral palsy, who leaves India for New York University, where she falls for a fiery young activist. Targeted mainly on urban circuits, “Margarita With A Straw” managed to collect maximum moolah from multiplexes in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Delhi. Directed by Shonali Bose, “Margarita With A Straw” has received rave review from film critics.
