After a dull first three months in the box office, Malayalam movie industry has liven up again. Though movies like “Mili”, “Fireman” and “Picket 43” were profitable for the producers, industry lacked a good buzz in theatres; but now back-to-back releases, including “100 Days of Love”, “Oru Vadakkan Selfie” and “Ennum Eppozhum”, will rock the box office. According to recent reports, “Oru Vadakkan Selfie” and “Ennum Eppozhum” – which released on 27 March – have managed to get very good theatre occupancy. “100 Days of Love”, which released on 20 March, is continuing its success run too. It looks like “Oru Vadakkan Selfie” starring Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese and Vineeth Sreenivasan will repeat the success of their previous flick “Thattathin Marayathu”. Considering the initial response the movie has got, many theatres have reportedly increased the number of screenings for the flick.

After the end of second day movie collected Rs. 80 Lakhs approx. Oru Vadakkan Selfie is the comedy entertainer directed by G Prajith. The movie, which stars Nivin Pauly in the central role, is penned by actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan. Popular child artist Manjima Mohan will make her debut in lead roles with the movie. Oru Vadakkan Selfie is produced by Vinod Shornur under the banner Cast N Crew. Meanwhlie, Nivin Pauly, who plays the central character Umesh, steals the show with his exuberant performance. Vineeth Sreenivasan, who essays Jack has improved a lot while compared to his last movie and looks comfortable in his own platform. Manjima Mohan makes a fantastic debut and steals the show with her matured performance. Aju Varghese and Neeraj Madhav perfectly plays their respective roles. Rest of the cast, including Vijayaraghavan, Sreelakshmi, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Shrava, Harikrishnan etc are perfect in their roles.
